Who are you?

BloomNest was founded in 2023 by horticulturists, landscape designers, and plant-obsessed city-dwellers who wanted to bring nature back into urban homes across the UK. Our mission is to make gardening accessible, sustainable, and fun—no matter how small your space. We believe that even a single pot of basil on a windowsill can boost wellbeing, improve air quality, and foster community connections.

Our team includes RHS-trained gardeners, urban ecologists from King’s College London, and sustainable-design experts. We partner with local allotment societies, botanical gardens, and community-garden projects to test our guides in real UK conditions—from damp Scottish summers to bright southern exposures. BloomNest operates around three pillars: Indoor Jungle, Container & Balcony, and Community Gardens. Indoor Jungle covers houseplant care—lighting, humidity, propagation, and styling. Container & Balcony offers tutorials on raised beds, vertical planters, and edible container gardening for herbs, salad greens, and compact vegetables. Community Gardens highlights co-op allotments, guerrilla planting, and school-yard greening initiatives that bring neighbours together.

We also host monthly “PlantSwap” events in major cities—London, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh—where members exchange cuttings, attend expert talks, and tour innovative urban gardens. Our data-driven Plant Health Tracker lets you log growth metrics, flowering times, and pest issues, then benchmark against the BloomNest community. By combining scientific know-how with grassroots enthusiasm, BloomNest is cultivating a greener, healthier urban Britain—one pot at a time.
